Yard Work, Kids Helping and Booster Day

The last few days have been so fun! :)

[we had some baby cardinals in our yard all last week... so cute!]

[Kate made lunches for all the kids without being asked.  I thanked her for making the lunches and she said, "I just wanted you to be able to get stuff done."  So sweet.]

Finally had some time at home Friday and got some yard work done.  It's been neglected.  Nate helped me, too.  He's also a great helper.

[we found a huge toad, too!]

Somehow when I SAID, "take your shoes off, so they don't get wet" and "let's wash the table first"...

He HEARD, "wash your shoes."

[And, the same day Kate made lunch Rachel made supper.  I could get used to that!]

We went to my sister's house on Friday evening to just hangout.  Was so fun!  We had a fire until the rain came and then just hung out.  Love that they're in FDL. :)

[Guess Nate was tired... that kid can sleep anywhere!]

Yesterday was Booster Day at St. Peter.  A very fun and hot day!  Started out at about 10am with Kate and Nate's team pictures.  Then they played at 11am.  Next was Mike and I both volunteering for 4 hours (he at merchandise tent and me at radar gun pitching station).  Finally, Eli's game at 5pm.  It was hot, but so thankful it didn't rain like was forecasted earlier in the week.

[Kate (red hat) and Nate in the field.]

Both kids did great!  It was Nate's first time playing with Kate's team and he had a blast.  He was dialed in when hitting... thanks, Rachel, for getting this video.

The day got long for Nate... the kid that can sleep anywhere.  He came up to me and said, "Mom, I'm REALLY tired." and put his head on my lap.

[We had a little fun with him and balanced a water bottle and quarters on his leg.]

Poor Eli... didn't get any pictures of him.  My intent was to get a picture with Nate, Kate and Eli all with their uniforms on, but forgot.  Eli didn't put his on until right before his game... and totally forgot.  Bummed.  His team won a great game though!!  So fun!

Keep smiling!
