25 days...

Has it really been about 25 days since my last post?!!!  Ugh.  I WILL NOT let this fall to the wayside and not get done.  Even if my posts are less frequent than they used to be, I WILL NOT give up! :)

[just a typical morning waiting for the bus]

It's high school football season and we love going to the home games... that is as long as it's not raining.  A couple weeks ago Kate took a cheer clinic and after the clinic they were able to perform at half time during a high school football game. Well, turns out, that evening was rainy.  But, Kate's performance got us to the game... even in the rain.  We actually had a great time, Kate had fun at half time AND we saw a good game that we would have missed had Kate's performance not gotten us there. :)

[Dad works the chains during all home games, but here are me and the kids]

[our cheer girl!]

[catching rain drops]

Nate is FINALLY interested in coloring and writing!!!  Man,oh man... that was a long time coming!  He does a great job!  So fun to watch him!  Still not sure though if he's right or left handed!

[just a cute shadow of Kate... she had the thermos mug she won at the Zim Open and her gift bag... she looked so grown up!]

[Nate had a field trip to the Little Farmer recently.  It was a great day!  According to my calculations... this was my fifth (I think) time going on the Marian Little Farmer field trip.]

It's jump rope and basketball season... that means lots of time spent in the car in the evening. Good thing these kids are troopers.  We were parked in a lot waiting for a clinic to be done... I did some work while the kids watched a movie. :)

[she didn't last long...]

Rachel had fun for spirit week at school last week.  Love that she gets so into it!  This was her before sports day.  Love her and her excitement for everything!

[Nate with the person he made at school.  He never seems to "have time" for the arms, but love them that way!]

[Here it is after finishing it at home.]

We've considered getting a Costco membership for some time now and finally did it!  They have some great savings opportunities... being a family of six we probably should have done this sooner!

Rachel has started jump rope again for the season... her fifth season already!  They had their first performances last Friday and in FDL.  They usually don't perform in town, so they were all very excited about it!  Kind of fun for them to be performing in front of kids they know.

They had four shows in FDL and I was able to go to the second one.  They did great and I was so proud of Rachel... she did an aerial for the first time in a show!  So happy I got to see it!  No video... had no idea it was coming... but, so happy I got to see it!!  She was so excited and proud.  Loved experiencing that!

[made this for her]

[have to document... Nate's first time using the "fly swapper" to get a fly.]

[And, Kate lost her fourth tooth!!  Guess she can start her Christmas list now! :)]

[my mom, sister and me cheering for the Cubs... my dad's favorite team]

[the little kids came with me to paint at the cottage yesterday.  we took some time to enjoy the beautiful lake... can't wait to spend tons of time there next Summer!]

Keep smiling!
