We went to a friend's house about a week ago and they had a guinea pig. Well, Eli has been obsessed (I mean OBSESSED!) about getting one of his own ever since we were there.
He did tons of research on cost and helped me gather some of our old toys to sell so he could make some money to buy everything he needed. He was short what he needed, but with all the guinea pig talk, Rachel also was excited to get one. She had more money than Eli saved, but they still decided to pool their money together and get two guinea pigs, a cage and some other things needed to have a guinea pig. It was so fun to watch them be so excited! They had a ton to choose from at PetSmart, so it took us awhile to narrow it down to two. The girl working there was very patient with us... I'm sure we were annoying customers! ;)
So, now we have two more pets. They are pretty cute!
[Fluffy]
[Tyler ~ he's my favorite, because he's pretty much the same color as my favorite sweatshirt... ha!]
Little Farmer w/Nate
Monday was a nice, cool morning... perfect for Little Farmer. It was a very last minute plan, so didn't even check to see if anyone wanted to join us. I went for flowers, but also got a latte, a perfect sign and Nate got to play. :)
Was so weird being there with just one child! That hasn't happened since Rachel was little... so about nine years! Nate had a lot of fun. I actually felt in control... that never happens!
We had a friend over Monday afternoon. We got a Jeep ride in and played with the guinea pigs. This was really the first time the boys played together. They played house/doctor... it was SO CUTE!!!!
Swimming Lessons
Then last night was the first evening of swimming lessons for Kate and Nate. Kept putting off getting them signed up and finally did! Wasn't sure how they'd do. They were excited when we talked about it, but I knew it could change at any moment. They did excellent... and are both excited to go again next week. Whew! Eli was NOT a fan of swimming lessons.
[Nate, it's hard to kick your feet when you're kneeling! ;)]
[Eli was at baseball, so Rachel and I ran while the little kids were swimming. It was nice because we could see them swimming while running. So fun! Rachel ran a mile and a half... she really surprised me. She's usually not one for running. ;)]
Keep smiling!
