Here are some things that happened in the last week around here. Basically, I looked through my pictures and am using them to remember. If there is no picture, it's out of my mind already. Sad, I know!
[this is one of my favorite people Kate has drawn… love the colors]
[I had another person join my R+F team (wahoo!) and this is what a "work" meeting looks like for me… LOVE IT!]
[Here is Rachel with a VERY loose tooth - it did come out eventually, but hung on way longer than it should have!]
Mike's old basketball coach from Lawrence University was inducted into the LU Hall of Fame last weekend. We went and I'm so happy we did! He was a great coach (from what Mike said) and a great person… from what I know, too. Super nice and amazing family. Miss them a ton, so it was nice to see them again. They moved away several years ago for another coaching job.
There were five other inductees. I really enjoyed listening to each one of them give their acceptance speech. They all did an amazing job. I told Mike we should bring the kids to one of the events in the future… when they're just a tad older. There were many things said that were very inspiring and motivational. I wish I had heard some of the things they said when I was younger and in sports. Many great lines for both sports and life… really neat!

[I'll be honest… I left him like this for a bit before freeing him. :)]
[I got some china from my Nani and recently decided to use it and not have it just sit in the basement in a box. It's so pretty.]
[Let Kate pick out what she wanted to wear the other day… when we had nowhere to go. ;)]
[This is my project for the next couple weeks… we're finishing our basement, which is exciting, but it means I have a lot to go through before early November! Yikes!]
[I had five kids here on Wednesday that were four and younger… good times!]
[Donuts with Dad… the kids were so excited Mike could make it this year!]
[Eli was getting his hair cut and Kate was looking through this book… she asked why a smile was there. Took me awhile, but I found what she was talking about. Love that she saw that line under "Vroom!" as a smile!]
And, finally, today was picture day for Kate at school. I had her outfit all picked out and decided to do her hair like we do it a lot. Realized shortly before we were ready to go that it would look way better with black ribbons. I searched for some and couldn't find any. I ended up finding something that would work… look familiar?! [I did cut the clasps off before she left!]
[all ready for picture day!]
Keep smiling!
