First, he caught a bass when fishing with his buddy. Eli took his pole and some worms along to his friend's house... and they actually caught something. A huge THANKS to Michelle for putting their worms on and for getting Eli's catch off the hook. You're awesome! [but, next time please keep it there... no matter what Eli says! ;)]

Second, he finally learned to tie his shoes! And, it's not because he wasn't capable... poor kid didn't have a mom teach him until now. I feel terrible. He always wears crocs, velcro or shoes tied so loose he can slide them on and off. He has had no need to tie his shoes. Tonight he asked if I'd teach him. Made me feel bad that he had to ask for help. The only pro to waiting this long is that he caught on pretty quickly. He could have tied them a couple years ago had I just took the time to teach the poor kid. He was very proud and it was fun to watch him learn.
