Summer is here!

Well, Summer break is officially here... although it sure doesn't feel like it!  Brrr!!

Today was the last day of 2nd grade for Rachel and Kindergarten for Eli.  Where in the world did that year go??

[kids in the car waiting for the bus this morning]

Last year we went to Kelley's Creamery for lunch on the last day of school with the kids' friends.  We planned to do the same thing again this year.  Ice cream for lunch?  Yes, I think so!

The weather was a little chilly this year, but didn't keep us from our ice cream date.  I watched Evie today, so she got to join us.  The kids were all great!!!  I was a bit nervous about having them all... but, also excited for the challenge.  Ended up working out very well!  I had the best, and biggest, sundae ever!  It had chocolate ice cream, carmel, hot fudge (I think) and kit kats!  Awesomeness!

Here is the "secret service" heading out for ice cream... at least that's what it felt like!  We went with two other families... and we all have big white buses!  That's what we call our Suburban... the "big bus."  All our vehicles are different, but all three very big and white.  Too funny!

After our ice cream date Rachel went to a friend's house and Eli had a friend over.  It was a very nice afternoon.  The boys went outside and they were playing football, kickball and catch.  I was looking out to check on them often.  All of a sudden Eli comes to the garage door and yells into the house "we need help."  I had no idea what they needed help with... they were just playing in the front yard.  I looked at them and they were soaked!!!!  I guess they couldn't resist the puddle out front!  Boys will be boys, right?

They had to each take a shower and I washed their clothes.  Good as new! : )

[wet boys!]

Yesterday Nate had on his cool Fondy jacket from grandma and grandpa Zim.  I just had to take some pictures.  Love that jacket on him and especially with shorts on!

Here we are at "basketball practice." : )

Nate eating his first taco and Mike taping everyone... we are all excited about it, too.  Okay, maybe not.  ;)

Here is a rainbow I got to see on my run early Tuesday morning.  Beautiful!!

Keep smiling!
