Rachel's First Communion - April 20, 2013

Rachel received her first communion yesterday at Sacred Heart.  It was at the 4:00pm mass, so it was nice not to have to rush around getting ready.  We were so proud of her!  She looked so grown up.  When the kids were up front, she was in the middle.  Mike and I both looked at each other... I commented on how cute I thought she looked and Mike said, "you do realize when we'll be looking up at her like that the next time?"  It's so crazy to think of her getting married, but my guess is it'll come sooner than we can even imagine.

I won't waste my typing on this, but will just mention... it's very difficult to take a very antsy one-year-old to church!  Thanks Mary for trying to help with Nate.  He was pretty much uncontrollable.  He was very loud, too... it was nice out so all the doors were open at the back of church.  Couldn't even go outside to try to prevent him from being a distraction.  You know it's bad when the little girl in front of you whispers to her mom... "mom, they're bothering me."  I was embarrassed to say the least.

But, I had to compose myself and my emotions and focus on what Rachel was doing... it was so special and she did such a great job.
