Got lucky this weekend. We were free, so headed to the cottage... the weather was perfect... and the colors were peak!
Left for the cottage after school Friday. Got there and had frozen pizza for supper (I'm all about keeping it simple!) and then started a campfire and had S'mores. One benefit of it getting dark sooner is that we can have a campfire before I'm too tired! :)
We didn't have any huge plans for Saturday, so was a great opportunity for everyone to sleep in. The kids and I did, but Mike struggles with that. He did get a lot of quiet coffee-drinking time in though!
After a cup of coffee, I went for a run around the lake. It was B E A U T I F U L!!! Love running this time of year. Definitely my favorite. Wish this season lasted longer!
[I had to stop to take this picture on my run... amazing!]
Ended up going to Hartman Creek to hike around after a yummy brunch at the cottage. It was so pretty and perfect weather to hike around! I think we hiked around about 3 miles. So much fun!!!
Once we got back we took the pontoon out. We found a spot on the lake that was out of the wind and had sun. Was really nice! Some fished and some... napped. :)
Today started with another run around the lake and then we packed up to head to Eli's game.
[So pretty!!]
Eli had his last baseball game of the season today. It was a very strange season. I applaud his coach for all his effort trying to get games for the boys to play. Not many things ended up working out, but the effort was definitely there! Thankful for the Fall Ball league in Kaukauna that worked out. Allowed the boys to get many games in over the last month and a half.
[Such a great group of boys and coaches!]
Breaking it down for the last time this season... love!
Keep smiling!
