Brewer Game - Nate's Big Milestone

So, it's been A LONG time since I've done a post and it's something that has been hanging over my head... for months.  I keep telling myself... I need to catch up!!  But, realize it's going to take a bunch of time to catch up.  So, I put it off.  Then, more time passes... and it's still there hanging over my head.

As I watched Nate tie his shoe this morning I realized... that is a HUGE deal and I really need to get back to doing this.  Without it ~ I will forget EVERYTHING!

So, here I am.  Now, of course I don't have time to go back and do a post including everything I missed since July (yes, July!)... but, I figured if I just at least got back to doing this from this point forward I wouldn't have so much to catch up on when I finally find a good chunk of time to catch up.

We went to a Brewer game last Sunday.  It wasn't planned until a few days before we went.  The Brewers were supposed to play the Marlins in FL, but because of the hurricane they moved the games last weekend to Miller Park.  So, they sold tickets for $10-15 each, which we couldn't pass up!

It was a perfect day for a game and so much fun!  They also pulled out a win and there were a lot of runs scored, which is always fun!  And, the concessions were 25% off, too... that was huge!!

The game started at 1:10 and we got to the park just after 11am.  So, we had time to tailgate with the kids' peanut butter sandwiches and lots of chips.  They also played some catch AND... Nate learned to tie his shoe!!!  Yes, at Miller Park!  He was so excited!  With the help of Eli and Kate he did it.

Here he is tying his shoe for the first time... at Miller Park!!  https://youtu.be/k2LGzEzF238

[The lady in front of us was talking to me and saw Rachel and Kate next to me.  She asked if it was a girls' day and I said, "Nope, the rest are down there."  She looked down the row and said, "Wow, there are a lot of you!"  Sometimes I forget... there are a lot of us!!]

[We've been to usually a game or two each year, but haven't gotten our picture taken in the glove since Kate was about 3 months old!  We fill it up much more these days.]

[Here we are a little over 7 years ago!]

[Nachos... my favorite part of the game!]

[awe...]

So, I'm home now during the day with all four kids in school.  I was so excited to get a ton of organizing done and catch up on all the things that have been neglected for years!  Well, here's how that's going so far...

[Never-ending laundry pile...]

[Kate's room.  I keep telling her, "Don't worry about putting your clean clothes in your drawers, because I need to go through them."  It's been awhile!]

[The basement, where I've been putting things that need to be gone through and/or gotten rid of.  This pile keeps growing!]

No, I'm never sitting doing nothing either.  The days just fly by and I never seem to have enough time for all I want to do.  I cannot believe it!  Try to get a run in on most days and then work my biz and help my team, get laundry cleaned (not folded or put away usually), maybe run an errand and the day is gone! Now, granted... because I'm home I do tend to volunteer for things when help is needed, which also occupies some time.  I'm happy to do that and feel very lucky to have the ability to help, but geez... I still have not caught up on ANYTHING here!!  And, I don't understand how this can be possible!

I wouldn't change what I have for world... but, just know... this stay-at-home mom of four kids (all in school) still doesn't have her house organized and clean.  Not sure when that will be the case... but, can't wait for the day!! :)
