Basketball, Halloween, Jump Rope, Cubs "W"IN!

Basketball has officially started!  Rachel has had two tournaments already and Eli one.  Definitely keeps us busy!  So fun to watch though!

[one our way to Rachel's first tournament last weekend]

And, pictures from Rachel's tournament yesterday and Eli's today.

Rachel's 6th grade team: Consolation Champs (2-1)

Eli's 4th grade team: 2 wins

[tip off of first game of the season]

Rachel also had a jump rope workshop in Michigan a couple weekends ago.  We drove there on Friday after school, had workshop all day Saturday and then drove home right after.  It was a nice bus ride... didn't mind at all.  I even read... weird!

Carved pumpkins on the morning of trick-or-treating... kids always have fun doing that.  They pretty much do most of it now that they're older.  Took some convincing to get Nate to dig out the seeds, but he did it.

[awe, Maggie]

Pumpkins: Rachel, Eli, Kate and Nate

[This was mailed from Nate's school... beats bills!  He always "runs out of time" for the arms.]

Celebrated my mom's birthday with her and my sister and her family.  And, the "W" on her cake was fitting... the Cubs won the World Series!!!  Such a great game... I will definitely watch it again.  Couldn't help but think about my dad during the game.  Miss him.

[Most of the kids stayed awake until the end of the game!]

[Nate got his own ketchup... and he's almost five!  Rachel probably did this when she was two.  How different the life of the first an fourth children is.  Ha!]

[Rachel, "Who are these two again?"  Really?!!]

Keep smiling!
