First Day of School: Rachel and Eli

Rachel and Eli had a great first day of school!  Summer went so fast!  As much as I'd love Summer to last forever they were starting to get on each others' nerves a bit, so I think the timing of school was just perfect.

It was a bitter sweet day for me.  I was sad not to see them around all day and I did miss all the fun we had just about every day over Summer… but, it felt pretty good to have some structure and routine today!  I did some grocery shopping and dropped Kate and Nate in the Tot Spot, so I did have about 20 minutes to myself.  It's amazing how refreshed one can feel with just 20 minutes of "ahhh"-time… even when it's at the grocery store. ;)

[kind of weird at lunchtime… missed the big kids]

Eli had this written in his planner "We went through a lot of rules today."  Made me smile!

I also had a mom-fail and feel bad for Rachel, but (thankfully) it didn't seem to phase her.  Guess I totally missed it on her supply list that she needed a School District Blue gym shirt this year.  I was wondering when they started with those.  Whoops.  Guess I'll be getting that tomorrow.  Thankfully they didn't wear their gym shirts today.  Ugh.

Kate had her open house for 4K this evening.  She was so excited.  Got a little shy there, but did great.  She's really excited for her first day tomorrow!!!

Keep smiling!
