We finally had some nice weather yesterday, so Kate and Nate and I walked to the corner to get Rachel and Eli off the bus. It felt SO GOOD to get some fresh air!!!!

We were talking with the kids about middle names. Mike told them what his middle name is, Gale, and Rachel's response was… "Dad, you are named after a slimy fish!" I didn't get it until she explained… "Blue-gale." Too funny!! We corrected her and told her that fish is called a bluegill. ;)
Tonight Nate got his thumb pinched in the freezer door pretty good. Poor guy. I realized he had a little cut on his thumb and asked Eli to go up and get a bandaid. He was gone forever and we ended up finding one downstairs and putting it on Nate before Eli even got back downstairs. We asked him what took him so long and asked if he was making it or what. He said there were about 96 girl bandaids and he was looking for a boy one. As he showed us the bandaid he found he said, "this was the only boy one I could find."
Yes, the purple one he thought was the most boy one there. Not sure how that even be considered a boy one… it gave us quite the laugh! He defended himself by letting us know the other ones all had girl characters on them.
